Safe sleep
Follow Health New Zealand and Whānau Āwhina Plunket safe-sleep guidance. Your baby's mattress must stay firm and flat. Fit the sleeve snugly with the fastening secured, and do not use it if there is any loose or rucked fabric. Place your baby on their back with their feet at the bottom of the cot. Stop using the sleeve once your baby can roll or sit unaided. This is a bedding product. It is not a safety device and makes no claim to reduce the risk of SUDI.

Pure 22-momme mulberry silk
Handcrafted from 22-momme, 6A-grade mulberry silk and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified with non-toxic dyes, so only pure silk meets your baby's hair and skin.

Gentler on baby's hair
Silk is reeled as one continuous filament rather than spun from short fibres, so there is less for fine hair to catch on than there is on cotton. Most newborn hair loss is a hormonal shed that no fabric changes. What a smoother surface does is reduce catching and tangling on the hair your baby has.

Kind to delicate skin
Breathable, and far less absorbent than cotton, so it does not spend the night drawing moisture, or the barrier cream you applied at bathtime, off your baby's skin.

A secure, flat fit
The silk sleeping surface measures 50cm x 90cm and fastens with Velcro underneath to sit flat and taut. Designed for standard cot and crib mattresses (approx 110–150cm circumference); not suitable for bassinets, cradles or smaller sleep spaces. Always make sure the Velcro is firmly fastened and the surface is smooth and snug before placing your baby down, and monitor closely during the first day or two of use.

My baby was starting to lose some hair at the back of her head and it was just getting worse, coming off on her bed sheets! Me and my partner tried to find something that would hopefully stop the hair loss. We saw LoveSilk and thought we would give it a try! We’ve only just starting using it so a bit early to tell but there hasn’t been any hair on the LoveSilk sheet so that’s an AMAZING start!!
